Mountains, the sea and good wine, the Pyrénées-Orientales/Langedoc has it all.

The Beach
The 7km wide, sandy beach, clear waters, and the Albères Mountains dominating the beach. The 12ha pine forest on the seafront and the 3km promenade planted with trees offer great walking opportunities. To the south, in the direction of Collioure, a small paradise – Le Racou (“corner” in Catalan)…
In the autumn and springtime, the beach has plenty of appeal with the sun always present! The light is softer, the beach less packed, and the leisure activities offered by beach clubs more accessible. The delightful rocky coves of Portells and Ouille, serving as a link with the Rocky Coast, offer peace and tranquillity…

The Mountains
West of Le Boulou, there are viewpoints over the Canigou, the sacred peak of the Catalans, and the plain of Roussillon that appeal to hikers. The bravest can observe the beauty of our territory from the Puig Neulos (1256 m), the highest point in this eastern part of the Pyrenees.
Suggestions for day visits are Amelie le Bain and Ceret. But also drive to Villefranche-Vernet-les-Bains and take the Train Jeune (yellow train) up to Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via. You have to leave early to get on the 9:00 am train. more information can be found by going to the Train Jeune website.

The City
Perpignan is the biggest city close to the Villa. It is about 30 minutes to drive to the city center: First impressions of Perpignan, France, today are certain to be influenced by the abundance of color displayed around the city. And colorful is an accurate word to describe its past, especially early in the 20th century when favored by artists such as Dali and Picasso. With its enviable location near the Mediterranean coast and the border with Spain, the city embraces a blend of French and Spanish influence, but the culture overall is pure Catalan.
Just accros the border, in Spain there are more beautiful cities that are worth a day trip to: Rosas, Figueres, Girona and Barcelona. The Costa Brava is less than an hour drive away.
